i dreamt thirteen
and saw five more
then two came and ended it
like aesthetic jacks
stop
don't run on so
don't spill over the precious edges
like all those other times
if she were here there would be a deeper fullness
where the breaths were fearful and low
she's the one
but she cannot defend it
she's the one
but she cannot tear it down
enough is enough for now
until the gap is breached again,
and unbearable
didn't come here to be set upon by the likes of you
but there you were
waiting
too much
too often
too many
too dark
too heavy
you're right,
believe me,
i know
running with vertigo,
nausea sits front and center,
it's a strange death
coming slow
trying to lose sight of how it appears
and just think it the way that's the clearest
pace, pace
not too quick or much,
but waste not
lest you're ready to not get up again
all too often it seems,
some are saying clouds are full of rain like it's a bad thing
working with the diligence of forty
according to who?
Cervantes maybe
a faint beat
a stumbling
a weakness of limb
a dull pain
insists
to spite my youth
sometimes it stands behind,
so close i hear it breathing
and i know
no one escapes
